The project aims to provide low-cost, open-sourced, and locally configured elements by the women's health navigators in the area. They are supported and trained by MAYA (Movement for Alternatives and Youth Awareness). They intend on archiving health-related knowledge for a better understanding of the community in the future. The project also involves other stakeholders, like a few organizations - Janastu, Design Beku, Aasha Workers, the health navigators, MAYA Health, and the Channapatna community, near Bangalore.
The experience depicts an ecosystem map of all the COWKI project stakeholders and processes. Because of the non-linear nature of the project and the people involved, an ecosystem map was chosen for documentation. This will assist in learning about the project's working model and the individuals involved.
The output aims to disseminate the information gathered about the chosen stakeholders, primarily the COWKI members I've met in the last few weeks. The project aims to return information to student researchers and others who will visit the site as researchers and learners in the future. The output may act as a secondary research source for the next batch of student researchers.
As a result, upcoming student researchers are the primary focus of the output.

The Brief
The Brief
Our defined consumers often visit the hospital for two reasons: (1) to meet with a doctor about their health concerns (either for themselves or a family member), and (2) to get a review on the test results they received from a high-end hospital in the main city.

Our users are from the working class, it is inconvenient for them to travel to the hospital and sit for an extended period of time while waiting for their turn, as they cannot afford to lose their daily pay as a result of this.

Our users tend to book an appointment with the ‘doctor’ and not the ‘hospital’/’clinic’.
They look for booking an appointment/searching for a doctor or a clinic through the symptoms experienced.

Forms of Engagement
Shadowing Activity - Visiting clients’ houses to understand their relationship with the health navigators and their work.
Draw your experience activity with Ramakkah (the field coordinator), to understand her involvement in COWKI and MAYA Health.
Helping/Directing the health navigators with technology, use of PAPAD - for annotation and uploading the information collected.
Planning and understanding their goals towards the Public Engagement Event : an engagement to engage people in the work done by the team (Health Havigators, Developers, Students and organizations) - turned into a speculative activity

The concept of documenting the collected information for the next generation of researchers stems from how much was 'lost' in translation while on site visits due to language barriers.
The final product focuses on the people, processes, and how they are interconnected. The interaction's main ecosystem map discusses this.
The ability to switch to 'lived experiences' by clicking the yellow button at the bottom helps filter the experiential and factual information in the map.
